It is with the deepest regret that I am here to inform the group that Ms. Emmie, the matriarch of amateur radio for the entire state of South Carolina passed away at her home this morning.

Emmie has been involved in amateur radio here for more years than many of us are years old. Her quick wit, delightful sense of humor and in general, her having something pleasant to say to and about everyone demeanor will be missed by us all. This is a great loss and a gap that will never be filled. She was a very dear friend and fellow hobbyist.
