Life Is A Gamble.....
Category: News and Politics

Both the state & federal governments are always looking for new ways to raise money to fund programs without raising taxes. Admittedly, government officials are experts at wasting taxpayer dollars, but if they really need more money, why not legalize gambling and license, regulate, and tax it. Most states already have lotteries. Why not casinos, sports betting, poker parlors etc. The revenue collected from these enterprises could be used to fund health care reform, education, aid to the poor & more.
Oh, I can hear the Bible-Thumping Holy-Rollers weeping, wailing,& gnashing teeth already,at the very idea of legal gambling. But when you get down to the brass tacks of the issue....isn't everything in life just one big gamble???? People buy life insurance, betting that they are going to die young. They buy car insurance, betting that they will be in a wreck. If they are lucky enough to afford it;they buy health insurance, betting that they are going to be sick. Hell,in today's traffic, you take a gamble driving to the grocery store.
Then there is the Mother of All Legalized Gambling....The World's Largest Casino : The New York Stock Exchange!!!! A place where billions of dollars are wagered everyday,in search of that big winning stock. Man has always craved that longshot with the big pay off. Why let organized crime make all the money off it. With all the criminals we have in politics today, I'm sure they could run a gambling operation. Then we just have to find a way to get the assholes to spend the money on projects that actually help out the American taxpayers....Ahh,There's the Rub....But it's worth the gamble.
Peace,

Spitoono 27 Is Coming"!!!!!!
Posted On 08/02/2007 17:21:21
Flash! - July 2007 Update!

Here it comes again! Duck! It's SPITTOONO XXVII!!

Yep, those rampaging rednecks are on their way back to Clemson, armed to the teeth with Red Man chewing tobacco and last year's cozies, ready to show the Upstate of South Carolina how to REALLY throw a party! They're gathering up stuff to sit on (blankets, lawn chairs, cinder blocks, old tires) so they can kick back with their favorite beverage and listen to the best live music that the Upstate has to offer. Spittoono 27 kicks off Thursday night, August 23rd at 6:00 pm. Friday and Saturday also begin at 6:00 pm. It ends each night when the music is done. BEER SALES WILL CONTINUE UNTIL SUNDAY MORNING AT 2:00 A.M.!

The shows consist of just about any genre of music available…from bluegrass to country, to blues, to rock…18 bands in all! It's by far the best party in the Upstate. And it's FREE!! There's no charge for admission. Zero. Nada. All the RPAA asks is that you do NOT bring coolers or glass containers onto the field. Buy your refreshments at the festival. And buy a Spittoono T-shirt. Sales of refreshments and shirts is how we raise money for the many local charities we contribute to.

There's a tobacco spitting contest, our primary redneck performing art, and a beer chugging contest. These will be held at a time to be announced later by Jeff, the emcee. Clogging, dancing, hooting and hollering is likely to break out unannounced at any time.

Doyl Puckett, our previous Ambassador of Cultural Exchange, hasn't been heard from. We suspect either 1) an alien abduction, 2) an injury from trying to ride his moped with 3 six-packs in his arms, or 3) a return to his previous home, the gated community known as the Oconee Law Enforcement Center.

Bring: A Blanket or Chairs to sit on, A Party Attitude, Pets and Kids --- Don't Bring: Guns, Fireworks, Stupid People, or Coolers.

As soon as the band line ups are finalized, I'll be posting the schedule....Oh & I have it on good authority that Doyl Puckett will make his Triumphant Return to Spittoono on his New Schwinn Moped....
Peace,
Danny G.

Iraq"s Prime Minster : "Country can manage without U.S."

By BUSHRA JUHI, Associated Press Writer Sat Jul 14, 9:52 AM ET

BAGHDAD - Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said Saturday that the Iraqi army and police are capable of keeping security in the country when American troops leave "any time they want," though he acknowledged the forces need further weapons and training.

The embattled prime minister sought to show confidence at a time when congressional pressure is growing for a withdrawal and the Bush administration reported little progress had been made on the most vital of a series of political benchmarks it wants al-Maliki to carry out.

Al-Maliki said difficulty in enacting the measures was "natural" given Iraq's turmoil.

But one of his top aides, Hassan al-Suneid, rankled at the assessment, saying the U.S. was treating Iraq like "an experiment in an American laboratory." He sharply criticised the U.S. military, saying it was committing human rights violations, embarassing the Iraqi government with its tactics and cooperating with "gangs of killers" in its campaign against al-Qaida in Iraq.

Al-Suneid's comments were a rare show of frustration toward the Americans from within al-Maliki's inner circle as the prime minister struggles to overcome deep divisions between Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish members of his coalition and enact the American-drawn list of benchmarks.

In new violence in Baghdad on Saturday, a car bomb leveled a two-story apartment building, and a suicide bomber plowed his explosives-packed vehicle into a line of cars at a gas station. The two attacks killed at least eight people, police officials said on condition of anonymity because they were not authorize to release details of the attacks.

Thursday's White House assessment of progress on the benchmarks fueled calls among congressional critics of the Iraqi policy for a change in strategy, including a withdrawal of American forces.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari warned earlier this week of civil war and the government's collapse if the Americans leave. But al-Maliki told reporters Saturday, "We say in full confidence that we are able, God willing, to take the responsibility completely in running the security file if the international forces withdraw at any time they want."

But he added that Iraqi forces are "still in need of more weapons and rehabilitation" to be ready in the case of a withdrawal.

On Friday, the Pentagon conceded that the Iraqi army has become more reliant on the U.S. military. The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Peter Pace, said the number of Iraqi batallions able to operate on their own without U.S. support has dropped in recent months from 10 to six, though he said the fall was in part due to attrition from stepped-up offensives.

Al-Maliki told a Baghdad press conference that his government needs "time and effort" to enact the political reforms that Washington seeks — "particularly since the political process is facing security, economic and services pressures, as well as regional and international interference."

"These difficulties can be read as a big success, not negative points, when they are viewed under the shadow of the big challenges," he said.

In the White House strategy, beefed-up American forces have been waging intensified security crackdowns in Baghdad and areas to the north and south for nearly a month. The goal is to bring quiet to the capital while al-Maliki gives Sunni Arabs a greater role in the goverment and political process, lessening support for the insurgency.

But the benchmarks have been blocked by divisions among Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish leaders. In August, the parliament is taking a one month vacation — a shorter break than the usual two months, but still enough to anger some in Congress who say lawmakers should push through the measures.

Al-Suneid, a Shiite lawmaker close to al-Maliki, bristled at the pressure. He called Thursday's report "objective," but added, "this bothers us a lot that the situation looks as if it is an experiment in an American laboratory (judging) whether we succeed or fail."

He also told The Associated Press that al-Maliki has problems with the top U.S. commander Gen. David Petraeus, who works along a "purely American vision."

He criticized U.S. overtures to Sunni groups in Anbar and Diyala, encouraging former insurgents to join the fight against al-Qaida in Iraq. "These are gangs of killers," he said.

"There are disagreements that the strategy that Petraeus is following might succeed in confronting al-Qaida in the early period but it will leave Iraq an armed nation, an armed society and militias," said al-Suneid.

He said that the U.S. authorities have embarrassed al-Maliki' government through acts such as constructing a wall around Baghdad's Sunni neighborhood of Azamiyah and repeated raids on suspected Shiite militiamen in the capital's eastern slum of Sadr City. He said the U.S. use of airstrikes to hit suspected insurgent positions also kills civilians.

"This embarrasses the government in front of its people," he said, calling the civilian deaths a "human rights violation."

My NASCAR Rant....
Posted On 06/27/2007 19:42:11
Has NASCAR Become the "Pro Wrestling" of the 21st Century????

Probably, gonna piss off some NASCAR fans with this one,but if it makes them think, then that's a good thing. Has NASCAR been munipulating the finishes of races,to try and make them more exciting. I say,Yes!!!! And you say,but Why???? That's easy....MONEY!!!! Fantasic finishes translates into higher T.V. ratings, which in turn rasies T.V. commercial rates, which makes NASCAR Richer. After all, a NASCAR race is just one big constant T.V. commercial anyway. In the heat of the moment this year,Tony Stewart, commited the "Unpardonable Sin" & told the Truth : That NASCAR was "fixing races". Of course, he quickly backtracked and towed the NASCAR line,
so as not to lose his muti-million dollar job & be run out of the show on a rail. Does NASCAR play favorites???? Damn Right, they do. They have created this squeaky clean,ultra-patriotic,right-wing conservative image, and if you don't fit in,well you're shit outta luck! NASCAR is the farthest thing from stock car racing that it could be. These ultra high tech clone cars, have nothing in common with stock cars. Big money has destroyed real stock car racing. A sport born & raised in the South. Gone are the races at Hickory,North Wilkesboro,& Rockinham. And can the "Lady in Black":Darlinton be far behind???? And today's cry-baby drivers, bitchin' because their cars don't handle "just right". "My car's to tight on entry","My car's to loose on exit" ; sounds mighty gay if you ask me. Back when "real men" drove real "real stock cars",you wouldn't have heard all this bitchin'&moanin'. Men like David Pearson,Cale Yarborough,Junior Johnson,Bobby & Donnie Allison,Bobby Issac,& "The King" , Richard Petty.... These guys would party hard the night before the races, muscle their hot rods around the tracks, smoke cigarettes during pit stops,& would fight like hell with each other after a wreck. They didn't have no fancy "cool suits" and Gatorade dispeners. And when they finally got cars with "power steering", if it went out;they stayed in the race and drove the cars anyway.Next to these "Legends of the Sport"; today's drivers are a just bunch of pussies. And By God,You could tell the difference between a Ford,a Mercury,a Dodge,a Plymouth or a Chevy. Sadly, those days are gone forever. The sport I grew up with, has been hi-jacked by a bunch of greedy money hungry multi-national corparations who abandoned the "True History and Spirit of the Sport". It has become "The Pro Wrestling of the 21st Century....
Peace,
Danny G.

The Three HorseTwats of the Apocolypse....
Current mood: annoyed
Category: Life

I fear the End is Near,My Friends. I can't get on the internet, read a newspaper, watch TV,or listen to the radio without reading or hearing something about the "Three HorseTwats of the Apocolypse". Of course you know who I'm talking about : Britney(I Give White Trash a Bad Name)Spears , Lindsey(The Drunken Anorexic Child Slut)Lohan & The Brain Dead Queen of the Dumb Cunts : Paris(Tie a 2x4 Across Your Ass so You Fall In)Hilton. These worthless dregs of humanity are all the media seems to care about. Hundreds of photoghaphers chase around after them like dogs in heat. And what gets me is that much of America eats this stupid shit up. The Bush/Cheney Regime has sent over 1000 of Our Troops to their deaths in Iraq since last Memorial Day but which one of these ignorant sluts is going to rehab or jail makes front page news! Bush & Company suspended "Habeus Corpus" in Oct. of last year and the vast majority of Americans didn't even notice. For anyone who doesn't know, that WAS your right to know what the hell you are being locked up for. But the press was way to busy sniffing around these bitches pee-holes to report the Raping of Our Rights as Americans. Richard Nixon was impeached for bugging Democratic Headquaters in the 70's and now Bush is "bugging" Our entire country! Personal Freedom in America is Going to Hell in a Guicci Handbag" and all we see on the news are the Three HorseTwats of the Apocolypse Leading the Way.....
It's a Sorry World,
Peace,
Danny G.
