Background: Conservative christian group is MOVING families to Anderson.

Reason: To Vote how Christian Exodus wants them to vote.

From reading articles in the newspaper I have learned that their plan is to move 100 families here to help them elect certain county council members that they feel would vote relative to their conservative beliefs.

I just feel this is kind've strange and wanted to see what others thought about it.

I mean we live here, and we are advancing things (tattoos, no blue laws, maybe) and now a conservative christian group wants to come here and over run the ballots to put more conservative christian beliefs into Anderson's politics.

Seems like a step backwards to me.

they need to take there ass up to salt lake and live with the rest of the crazies..

Well, I'm with DJ_BLUE...I have no qualms with the church, churchgoers or whatever..

BUT here's what I DO have a problem with and I'll keep it brief...

The American Revolution...we broke away from England mainly because of the church...So with that knowledge in hand what are we doing....INTEGRATING CHURCH INTO THE POLITICAL SYSTEM.....that's pure B.S.

So christianity seems to be the prevalent RELIGION IN POLITICS..right? What about how that IS FORCING christian beliefs on muslims and other religions...America is supposed to have freedom of religion...NOT let's force our views on EVERYONE because we FEEL our religious views are RIGHT yours are WRONG and we just don't care how you feel about it.....JUST because you feel your religious views are RIGHT does not give you the right to pound them into my head everywhere I turn...I am sorry but I am not clay to be molded by YOU least of all!!! How about Judging Yourself?

Anderson is in for a RUDE AWAKENING...I can feel it brewing already...So much has changed and IS changing daily in favor of a more free society in Anderson...I feel the people like me who have yet to take a physical role in our community may soon come out in droves and stand up for what IS RIGHT,what is AMERICAN and what hundreds of thousands of brave Americans have DIED for and are STILL dying for...

HOW IS THE INTEGRATION OF RELIGION INTO POLITICS ANY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE MIDDLE EAST?...IT IS ONE FORCE IMPOSING THEIR BELIEFS ON THE MASSES!!!!!!!

So go to church, pray, get new members and embrace them into your flock..

BUT DO NOT TREAD ON ME!!!!!!!!

I for one totally agree with Joey, We got here on our own, let us rule ourselves as we see fit ok?  the addition of more lets say religiously-friendly people will stem the votes toward more blue laws and other incompetent things that all of us as a community has to deal with. I say keep em away. keep the religion in churches ppl.
