Will someone PLEASE tell me the reason we still have them??

Whatever happened to SEPERATON OF CHURCH AND STATE..It seems if we put church-minded people in office they put the church before the community.

Now I have nothing against church but guess what not everyone chooses to go.

I PROUDLY served 4 years in the MARINE CORPS so WE, meaning every single one of us, HAS THAT CHOICE!!!!

This is disgraceful.

I just can't stand the idiocy of it all.

Seriously.

If you don't want alcohol, don't buy it.  If you're going to be in a church until noon, why the hell should I have to wait until noon to make purchases?  I'd quite prefer to get my ass out of there before the lot of church folks come parading into the local Wal-Mart or Bi-Lo.

Funny story.  I was in Holden Beach, NC - 11:45am I get up and cruise to the little convenience store.  They do sell alcohol on Sundays...but as I learn when I get there not until after 12:00pm.  So the sweet little lady at the counter says to me, "Damn church folk, wanna make sure they are first in line for beer on Sunday"  Something like that...she cracked me up.

blue laws is just the way make the religious nuts still feel important..

just wait till all alot of jews start moving to the south. there day of rest is saturday. and they WILL change the blue laws . they did it in most of the larger cities already..

i honestly cant understand why they would have them. all it does is take away from the wallets of the average store owner..  seeing how most of us only have 2 days or less a week off work it seems only logical that you would be able to do what ever it is that you want those two days with out the "good book" and state of sc telling you other wise..
