In early 2005 Blake Hammer , TJ Keith , and David Blevins began writing with singer/songwriter Steven Marner, partly as a way to deal with the frustration over the breakup of their old band, Malaki Kort. It turned out that the heavier sounds and deeper, more thoughtful lyrics Steven brought to the table were just what they were looking for. The roughly twenty songs that they have collaborated on thus far provides an exciting addition to modern rock. Melodic verses leading to hard driving choruses reminds listeners of radio staples such as: Stone Temple Pilots and Breaking Benjamin. However, the quartet is careful not to be formulaic in the songwriting process. With influences from Pink Floyd to Mudvayne, unacquainted listeners are given more than a few reasons for surprise.
